She has specialized knowledge in the North American non-profit travel market, as a result of her many years working with major nature-based and cultural tourism attractions, including the San Diego Zoo and Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).At the world famous San Diego Zoo,she worked with the travel team to develop a travel program for its 250,000 member households. She travelled internationally as the Zoo’s representative to review potential new travel destinations and itineraries for inclusion in the Zoo’s Worldwide Travel Program. She also participated at theNational Non Profits in Travel Conference held each year in Virginia. In Australia and Oregon, Deborah gained extensive experience with database marketing and has created successful targeted promotional campaigns for both travel programs and visitor attractions, including museums. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Writing from the University of California, San Diego, and an Associates of Science in Travel and Tourism from San Diego Mesa College.
